Read through it carefully before applying and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us at handmadeinthecariboo@gmail.com or use the contact tab.

1. How the application process works:

  • Each vendor is responsible for completing an application.

  • Application deadline is February 15th, 2020.

  • Each application will be reviewed to ensure it meets our criteria and notification will be given after the application deadline of February 15th, 2020.

  • We want to ensure there is little vendor overlap, so a cap will be put in place for vendors selling the same items.

2. Payment:

  • Full payment is due March 1ST, 2020 upon application acceptance. Once your payment is made, your spot at the market will be secured. If payment is not received by the deadline, the next eligible applicant will take your spot.

  • Table rate- $75/table (8-foot table)

  • Acceptable payment methods include e- transfers. For e-transfers please use the password “handmade” for the security question and email to handmadeinthecariboo@gmail.com

  • Your payment indicates that you accept all vendor guidelines illustrated on this page.

  • Table payments are non-refundable, no exceptions.

3. Cancellation:

  • Table fees are non-refundable, no exceptions.

  • If for any unforeseen  circumstance, the Handmade in the Cariboo Market is cancelled, your table fee will be refunded.

4. Responsibilities of the Vendor:

  • Set up will take place in the morning from 7:30am- 9:45am. We ask that you have your booth/table ready to sell when the doors open at 10am.

  • All vendors will receive an 8 foot able (or two) for their display and two chairs, but will be required to bring their own table covering and decorations.

  • Vendors are responsible for collecting all payments and taxes for their business.

  • We ask every vendor to donate a door prize for market day with a minimum value of $20.00. Please have your door prize ready on the day of the market for the hosts to pick up by 9:30am.

  • Handmade in the Cariboo Market, the host Lacey Tomlinson and Leslie Mahar, are not liable for injury, damage, or theft to person or property while attending the market.

  • We ask that pack up/takedown does not start until customers have left the hall at 4pm.

4. Selection Criteria for Vendors

  • The focus of the Handmade in the Cariboo Market is to showcase local artisans that create handmade, authentic items.

  • Each application will be reviewed to ensure the vendor's items are handmade.

  • Criteria may relax if all vendor spots are not filled by April 1st, 2020 and competition with other vendors is low.

  • To ensure there is minimal vendor product overlap, applications will be reviewed thoroughly.

  • SPECIAL REQUESTS: We will do our best to accommodate special requests made by vendors.

Vendor Success:

  • The Handmade in the Cariboo event page will be doing vendor spotlights, which includes information about your company and pictures displaying your products. This will be a great way for customers to become familiar with your products and direct them to your Facebook page, website, or other social media outlets. We can promote you, but it is truly up to you to let your customers know where you will be and when. This way they can easily purchase your product. We want this day to be successful for all of us!

Thank you!

Lacey + Leslie
